Recorded Webinar: Exploring Data Preparation and Visualization Tools for Urban Forestry

Recorded Webinar: Exploring Data Preparation and Visualization Tools for Urban Forestry

On Wednesday, December 12, we hosted “Exploring Data Preparation and Visualization Tools for Urban Forestry,”  a webinar that looked at various tools for cleaning and organizing data and creating beautiful and useful visualizations. We first became interested in urban forestry data in the context of OpenTreeMap and all the pesky scientific name misspellings we kept finding. It’s common for data to need a little bit of clean-up so we thought we’d share some of our favorite tools for working with data.

A recording of the webinar is available below. I’ve also posted the recording on YouTube and made the slides available via SlideShare. If you have any questions about the webinar or OpenTreeMap, please feel free to email me at dboyer@azavea.com.

This was the last webinar in our series of five urban forestry webinars for 2012 (links to recordings available here). We’re thinking about holding more in 2013. Let me know if you have a urban forestry technology issue you think would be worth discussing in a webinar!
