Multiple Positions for Two Fellowship Programs at Azavea this Summer

At Azavea, we apply advanced geospatial technology, data analysis, and research for civic, social, and environmental impact related to elections, ecosystems, history, public safety, climate change, and more. Each summer we invite Fellows to help us achieve impact by working with nonprofit organizations on data analysis projects and on open source software projects.

Two Fellowship Programs

We’re currently seeking graduate and undergraduate students to fill multiple positions for two paid, 12 week professional fellowships in our Philadelphia office. All fellows receive mentorship from experience Azavea staff and a $6,000 stipend, in addition to other benefits.

Azavea Summer of Maps

The Azavea Summer of Maps program is a fellowship that matches students pursuing careers in geospatial data analysis with nonprofit organizations that have spatial analysis needs to complete projects alongside Azavea mentors.

Azavea Open Source Fellowship

The Azavea Open Source Fellowship program offers fellows the chance to work closely with experienced Azavea mentors to expand on software engineering and design skills while contributing to open source projects. Applicants can either choose a project from the Proposed Projects list or submit their own ideas.
