Luke is a Software Engineer on the Geospatial Applications Team at Azavea.

Luke has a M.S. in Computer Science from Drexel University and B.A. in History from Haverford College.

After starting his career working on public policy efforts to improve voting and election processes, his career interests and ambitions steadily took him in the direction of applying technology-based solutions to social and environmental problems, which eventually led him to Azavea. Stops along the way included the SF Bay Area working at Tesla as an analyst for electric vehicle manufacturing systems, a year and a half in China teaching English and learning Mandarin, and time spent at a software Bcorp specializing in taxes and public benefits for low-to-moderate income clients. Luke first spent several years on Azavea’s Cicero team before completing his masters and moving to an engineering role.

Outside of work Luke enjoys sports, swimming, biking, and reading and is a happy resident of Philadelphia’s Brewerytown neighborhood.
