Ross is the Project Manager for the GeoTrellis Team at Azavea.
Ross has experience in forestry, non-profit management, and GIS research and instruction. He was the Project Manager for an agroforestry NGO in Haiti prior to starting his advanced degree at Yale. In graduate school he focused on GIS and urban ecology and served as the teaching fellow for two graduate-level GIS courses.
He has experience working on a number of international projects including a street tree inventory in Guiyang, China and a landslide risk assessment map for Nepal. In addition to a continued interest in GIS, he remains interested in development work in Haiti.
