Deb is a Project Manager for the Civic Applications Team at Azavea. She also serves as the Project Manager for the website where she assists with the daily operations of the project including metadata entry and photo digitization, intern supervision, reporting and marketing, and customer service. She believes that historical records should be freely available to everyone and thinks that geography can revolutionize the way people connect to and understand their history.

Deb received her BA in English from Central Michigan University before moving to Chicago where she completed a Master’s of Public History at Loyola University.

Before coming to Azavea, Deb worked at several cultural institutions on a variety of curatorial, exhibit design, and educational projects.
