Redrawing the Map on Redistricting 2010 White Papers
Three years later after the publication of the Gerrymandering Index white paper, our Cicero product has been extended to include more cities, state legislatures and other countries, so we decided to take a fresh look at the process of political redistricting, this time in the context of the 2010 Census and the 2011 redistricting process. The "Redrawing the Map on Redistricting 2010: A National Study" white paper and the "Redrawing the Map on Redistricting 2010: The Philadelphia Study" white paper are the results. Read more.
Historical Geocoder
Geocoding – the assignment of coordinates to a geographic reference – is the key task required to enable geographic searching of historic databases. However, while geocoding technology has continued to advance for contemporary databases, a temporally-enabled geocoder has yet to be developed. Read more.
Revising REX
REX is a web-based real estate decision-making tool targeted at prospective home buyers, homeowners and developers. Using this web-based tool, REX users can match information about recent home sales and median sales prices with location preferences like nearby schools, public transit stops and restaurants. REX is specific and detailed, allowing users to zoom into areas as small as a single block. We are currently redisigning the platform to make use of our DecisionTree tool. Read more.
