Risk Forecasting: Load Forecasting

Load forecasting identifies the aggregate trends of incident levels across your jurisdiction for a given time of day, day of week, and time of year. By entering a time period to forecast, the system leverages this model to provide a best-guess forecast of the aggregate volumes of incidents you should expect in various areas of your jurisdiction.    

While no forecast will be perfect, using an analytic forecast of event counts can assist you to deploy resources in the manner that will make the most impact.  It can also provide a management tool to incorporate into processes such as CompStat.
