The early warning components of HunchLab automatically sift through incident data to identify geographic areas with unusual elevations in activity. By employing the spatial data mining functionality within HunchLab, called Hunches, staff can focus on strategically addressing crime outbreaks in specific areas rather than spending time to find where they are occurring. Staff arrive at work with alerts in their inboxes that link to areas with unusual activity, ready for the appropriate intervention.
