Data Management allows system administrators to edit data element labels, revise categories, change text throughout the site, update the system’s news panel, and perform a wide range of modifications to the way data is stored and presented in the Kaleidocade front-end application.

System administrators can create Quick Reports to highlight particularly relevant or timely data and present it to end users in a convenient way, without requiring any specific data selection or analysis on the user’s behalf.  Through the Administrative Console, maps, charts, tables, and other components can be assembled into Quick Reports and published to the main Kaleidocade application.

All aspects of user maintenance can be performed through the Administrative Console, such as creating or deleting users, assigning permissions, changing passwords, or even sending an email to all users.

A set of on-demand reports is available for administrators to keep track of the way that Kaleidocade is being used and experienced. There is a basic set of about 25 reports, ranging from "Most Popular Data Element" to "New Users per Month" to "Number of Address Groups per User," and the reports are built on a flexible framework that allows Azavea to easily craft custom reports on a per-client basis without requiring software development.

Administrators can use the Activity Dashboard to see trends in usage, utilization, and types of activity at a glance in a series of graphs and charts.

Discrete administrative roles allow Kaleidocade clients to customize what authority is granted to each user. Roles for system administrators, user administrators, Address Group sharers, and users with access to the Kaleidocade API web services can all be assigned in any combination.
